The Art Scribes Award is for emerging, and mid-career art writers based in India committed to research-based critical writing, and interested in exploring curatorial narratives. Now in its 13th edition and part of the French Institute in India’s Villa Swagatam residency network, this programme has been vital to the arts context for recognising exceptional emerging curatorial voices over the years

Award & Residency: The selected writer will be awarded a fully supported (accommodation, return flights, per diem) month-long curatorial residency at the La Napoule Foundation in the South of France. During this time, you’ll have dedicated studio space to further your research and develop the exhibition proposal submitted at the application stage towards its realisation in New Delhi one year later.
